10 Cane Rum
10 Cane is a distinguished premium rum from Trinidad & Tobago, introduced by Moët Hennessy (LVMH) in 2005. Its name pays tribute to the traditional practice of bundling ten sugarcane stalks for each bottle produced, honoring the spirit’s artisanal roots and craftsmanship.
10 Cane is crafted as a refined blend—75% first-press sugarcane juice and 25% molasses-based rum—inspired by the “rhum agricole” tradition. Produced in small artisanal batches using French alembic pot stills, the spirit was double-distilled and gently rested for about six months in ex-Cognac casks, imparting a delicate golden hue and subtle complexity.
A notably slow fermentation—over five days at low temperatures—enhanced both complexity and smoothness. Our tasting notes revealed pear, vanilla, and grassy agricole freshness, accented by soft oak and citrus undertones, making 10 Cane equally at home in a Mojito or sipped neat.
Though highly acclaimed among rum enthusiasts, 10 Cane ceased production in 2015 and is now discontinued—its remaining bottles prized as collector’s items.
