Flor De Caña

Flor de Caña is a premium rum from Nicaragua, produced by Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua (CLNSA). Founded in 1890, it is a fifth-generation, family-owned estate rum made at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano in Chichigalpa.


Flor de Caña is produced from a molasses base, distilled in a five-column still through multiple passes for exceptional purity. Aging takes place in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels, under a tropical climate with volcanic soils and water, which imparts a unique character. The rum is “slow-aged,” maturing naturally without artificial accelerants, added sugar, or coloring.


Flor de Caña offers a range of age-designated and premium expressions:


  • Entry/younger rums: 4 Year, Gold, Extra Seco, Extra Lite, Añejo Oro.

  • Medium-aged rums: Gran Reserva 7 Year, 12 Year, 18 Year.

  • Ultra-premium/luxury: 25 Year Old Centenario, V Generaciones 30 Year Single Barrel, and various limited editions.

Tasting profile: vanilla, toffee, dark caramel, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, dried fruits, almonds, soft molasses, occasional cocoa, with smooth oak and warm spice on the finish.
