Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaica Rum Independence Reserve
World’s oldest rum to celebrate Jamaican independence of 50 years
To mark 50 years of Jamaican independence from August 1962 – August 2012, Appleton Estates have created the world’s oldest rum, named 50 Year Old Jamaica Independence Reserve. The handsome looking bottle is made of hand crafted crystal and only 800 available in the world.
He's a hand blended and smooth, deep mahogany sipping rum with notes of oak, vanilla, cinnamon and maple with a distinctive Appleton Estate hallmark hint of orange peel. Made with rums that have been aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 50 years, each barrel was set down over half a century ago with the vision of creating this rum to celebrate the landmark 50 year anniversary of independence in Jamaica, the world’s oldest barrel aged rum.
