Bielle 2003 Old Agricole Rum with a deep gold color and a pale straw hue. Rich aromas of dried banana, coffee, brown sugar, and vanilla. Entry is stupendous, very spicy, mildly prickly, and slightly hot. Semi-sweet flavors include dried banana, brown sugar, and vanilla, accompanied by an underlying bitterness, a little out of balance at cask strength. A persistent dried banana and vanilla aftertaste reverberates with surprising intensity, but the slight bitterness remains. You can go a long way with this rum. We can feel the tradition.
