Brugal Siglo de Oro (Golden Age), one of the most valuable in BRUGAL's rums, is so rare. Produced once a year. Vintage 1988, twice distilled, then aged for a minimum of 8 years in American oak barrels, and then placed in oak barrels for another 8 years, making it enough mature nectar for a modern rum. It is often compared to ZACAPA 23 years. Recently re-packaged and lay down in his blue cask.
Warm amber colour and has a solid and smooth dress. Eyes subsided; it is time to turn to a fresh nose and earthy, evoking rainforest images. It tends to have woody notes and banana aroma, orange and leather, such as the nose and palate with persistent woody flavours, leather, a hint of orange and coffee.
A round and soft final but spicy simultaneously with chocolate notes. The 16 years old of this Extra Viejo rum makes it surprising and unpredictable. Very pleasant to drink.
