Clément Canne Bleue 2011 Rhum (Clément Blue Cane White Rum) possesses a diamond-like clarity in your favorite tasting glass. A bouquet of sweet fruity perfume appears more like a whisper, followed quickly by sweet grassy aromas of fresh sugarcane and the slightest hint of tobacco and banana. The initial taste is mildly sweet of sugarcane juice, yet dry from the high ABV, with ever so slight vanilla, anise, and white pepper spice. A semi-full body coats the tongue with a pleasantly greater viscosity than expected from an overproof rhum Agricole blanc, leading to a finish of moderate duration, yet longer, sweeter, and smoother than expected.
