In the famous province of Demerara, situated on the east coast of Guyana, the company Demerara Distillers has been producing sugar and rum for over 300 years, and today it's the only distillery still in production by over 200 former distilleries. The distillery is the only worldwide which uses a still of wood. The El Dorado 15 years old Special Reserve Demerara Distillers was awarded four times as "the world's best rum." It's a blend of rums that matured for at least 15 years, some much longer. Near the equator on the tropical northern coast of South America, this rum matures under ideal natural climatic conditions to become one of the finest rums.
I called the minister of the old rums range. Entry in the mouth with copper, cedar, and banana tonality. Aged 15 years after an exemplary assembly of the best rums matured in oak cask. Subtle and proportioned admirably, made to follow you towards a long trip in the past.
