HSE Rhum Extra Vieux Agricole Sherry Finish 2004 Fino & Olorosso

HSE 2004 Aged Agricole Rum Sherry Fino & Olorosso Finish is aged for eight years in oak barrels, following the purest tradition of aging by Habitation Saint-Etienne. It is then finished in Sherry Fino & Olorosso for six months. 

Moderately sweet with a funky aroma, a touch of smoke, and old wooden furniture. The medium-full rum integrates the barrel spices and roasted notes well, and the rum has a dark sweetness on the finish. You can pick up on the sherry flavors and a slight grassy quality as you continue to smell and taste. The finish is of moderate length and is pleasant and rich enough to sip on its own.
