After six years of aging in oak casks following the pure traditions of HSE aged rums, this unique HSE Single Malt Finish has been subjected to final maturing in 'Smoke head' barrels, Single Malt from the island of Islay in northern Scotland. The first nose, which is very iodized and peaty, evolves after light airing into more classic balsamic, roasted, and fruity notes than a regular aged rum. A harmonious full-bodied flavor is highly appealing, with a great length on the palate and smoky notes that blend with fruity aromas.
