J.Bally Réserve de la Famille
J.Bally Rhum Vieux Agricole Familly Reserve Extra Old Rum presented in a beautiful decanter is from the familly reserve rums to honor the founder M. Jacques Bally. Son of a notary in Fort de France and Engineer of Arts and Manufactures, Jacques Bally repurchases in 1917 the Lajus Dwelling, founded in the 18th century but fallen in disuse. He was the first one who had the idea to let the rum mature in wooden barrels to award complex flavors to it. He also created the triangular bottle, which established his rum worldwide. The burning apparatus were relocated to the distillery Simon on the East coast in 1978. Bally is still one of the last rum distilleries using these old Charentaiser ""Coeur de Chauffe"". The warehouses and the bottling plants still are located in Le Carbet. Today, Bally is distilled by Saint James, who also ensures its aging, conditioning, and marketing.
A Clear, shining color appearance with a copper-brown hue. Intensively aromatic smell, a perfect balance of vanilla and fruit tones, dry fruits such as fig and date, and dry wood. The mouth is a rich and full-bodied taste with something vanilla, candied citrus fruits, and balanced wood beautifully, elegantly, and softly in the outlet with more beautifully sweet notes. To drink purely and suitably for cocktails (e.g., May Tai, Cuba Libre).
