Karukera 2000 Vintage is an authentic, rare rum, and the 2000 vintage has aged ten years in oak casks that have previously contained bourbon. Outstanding balance and complexity, this rum was bottled at its natural level, without chill filtration to preserve its rich aroma and incomparable taste of aged vesou.
A deep orange copper color with green hues. The wide nose, powerful notes of roasted coffee, and roasted macadamia nuts emphasize its character. It is reinforced by the presence of exotic fruits (passion, mango) and heady flowers. A firm mouth, rich. The heady flowers occupy the front of the palate. It stretches over cane sugar and dark chocolate. Its spices are softened and become powdered flavors of saffron, cumin, and ginger. It operates on pretty floral and herbaceous notes. The finish is long and remarkably balanced. His bitterness is refreshing (ginger root), its fruity acidity, caramelized sugars, and pralines. It extends on salty notes of blue agave.
