Montebello 14-Year-Old Agricole Rum

Montebello 14-Year-Old Agricole Rum is "Great Special Reserve," Vintage 2000, which marks the arrival of a new square and imposing bottle at the distillery. The rum has been aged 14 years in single barrels and bottled at 50.6°ABV. A Limited Edition of 1250 copies.

Nice dark Gold color. This Special Reserve debuts with massive vanilla, allspice, and maple syrup tones that segue into gorgeous vanilla, wood, and cocoa/mocha on the palate. Well-integrated spice and hints of roasted orange peel follow under a sheen of banked heat. The finish is sweet and lingering with ever-diminishing warmth. Sweet but deftly balanced.
