Neisson Fût Unique 2004 Single Cask
Neisson vintage 2004 Single Cask was bottled straight from the barrel, with no previous blending or filtration. Distilled from cane plots Godinot plateau for a period of low rainfall with a high sugar content higher than 23 Brix. Rums were cut into aging on April 8, 2004, in bourbon oak barrels that used 195 liters of the Buffalo Trace distillery, giving it a fascinating aromatic richness. Four barrels numbered 1 through 4 were dépotés in July 2011, then reduced to 42.7% and bottled in October 2011.
The first impression is of exceptional aromatic intensity, where the woody taste mingles with notes of roasted cocoa—dress amber golden color. The nose is complex with cooked fruit (toasted almonds), a hint of vanilla, balsamic, roasted, and spicy—full-bodied, oaky, spicy, vanilla notes. An intense flavor of clover marks the finish. Only 243 bottles of this exceptional cru were produced. Each bottle is numbered.
