Macuá
Macuá
It's called "El Macuá," the Macua. It was created by a pediatrician from Granada and is named after a tropical bird native to Nicaragua. It is a response to "Mojito" and "Margarita."
Ingredients
- 2oz Flor de Caña Rum 12 Years
- 2oz Guava Juice
- 1oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/4oz Simple Syrup
Method
Take your shaker and find some ice. Pour in your rum, guava juice, lemon, and simple syrup, and start shaking. Keep going for 30 seconds, then pour your Macuá into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with lemon or an orange. Enjoy!
Our little secret:
For a unique twist, consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper powder to the top of your glass. This is entirely optional and can be adjusted to your taste.
