Ron Millonario traces its storied roots to the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo, founded in 1904 in northern Peru by a collective of local farmers who joined forces to establish a sugar refinery and distillery. The historic brand made its formal debut in 1950, quickly earning the moniker “por los millonarios”—for those affluent enough to savor its refined allure. 

A new era began in 2004, when Italian entrepreneur Fabio Rossi discovered Millonario’s legacy and relaunched the brand with global ambitions. Partnering with Prolisa Distillery, Rossi introduced international distribution, re-establishing Millonario as a celebrated emblem of premium Peruvian rum worldwide.

At the heart of Millonario’s production is the Solera aging method and a distinctive Scottish wooden column still, imported in 1938. This rare still enables a rich, layered maturation process, blending rums of multiple ages and origins—including Croatian oak, American bourbon, and Oloroso sherry casks—to create remarkable depth and complexity.

The Millonario portfolio features several standout expressions:

• Solera 15 Reserva Especial (40% ABV): The flagship blend, nurtured through the Solera system, reveals rich, silky notes of raisins, plums, honey, vanilla, toffee, candied orange, and warm spices.

  
  

• Ron Millonario XO Reserva Especial: A deeply complex expression aged up to 20 years, boasting warm, sugary, and tropical aromas with a smooth, creamy body.

  
  

• Anniversary Editions: Including the 10 Aniversario Reserva (light, aromatic, sherry-aged) and the bold 10 Aniversario Cincuenta (50% ABV), which is fruit-forward and intensely concentrated.
